Improving fertility and treating infertility are usually complex and require addressing various aspects of organism. As the authors of one research study concluded acupuncture for infertility shows great results both in man and women and can successfully restore fertility “by improving the sperm quality and ovaries function and balancing the endocrine system and hormones” (Zhu, Arsovska, & Kozovska, 2018) In the United States, fertility acupuncture is done by extensively trained licensed acupuncturists. Depending on specific circumstances, the focus of fertility treatment may be the woman or the man or both, and acupuncture can be used as a stand-alone therapy or as a complementary modality.
On the one hand, research has shown that acupuncture can have greater therapeutic effects when it is used in conjunction with modern medical methods, and some fertility clinics take advantage of its success (Stein & Harper, 2021). On the other hand, however, the medical fertility treatment can be very expensive, and it may be unnecessary if much cheaper and less invasive acupuncture treatment can resolve the issue. To decide what chances acupuncture alone has to help mothers or couples to conceive a child, acupuncturists need to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the patient, which requires extensive knowledge and experience.
The acupuncturists at the Advanced Holistic Center are trained in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine as well as medical acupuncture. To explore new methods, they regularly take continuing education courses and read the latest research findings in their profession. The time that the Advanced Holistic Center has been operating, our specialists developed professional relations and exchange knowledge and experience. This accumulated knowledge and experience makes us more flexible and versatile, and we can help our patients have children. Since our patients have various life circumstances, we developed an individualized approach to each patient, and our acupuncture fertility experts work independently as well as in collaboration with other fertility specialists, depending on our patients’ needs and situations.
